AREA NHAP DAO AND DAI TRUNG GATE
Passing through the Van Mieu gate into the first zone, known as Area Nhap Dao. This is a green space of trees and grass, with two ponds on either side.
The main path, paved with red bricks, leads to the Dai Trung gate into the second zone. On both sides are two pathways leading to two smaller gates, each bearing a name that symbolizes intellect: Thanh Duc (Good Virtue) and Dat Tai (Outstanding Talent).
The Dai Trung gate reflects the architectural style of the Later Le Dynasty (15th–17th century). The structure is a three-bay wooden building with a curved tile roof. On top of the roof are two carp fish facing a decorative vase, adorned with ceramic mosaic pieces. The gate floor is paved with Bat Trang bricks. The structure rests on a stone-edged brick platform with three steps leading up and down, creating a sense of solemnity and grandeur.
